Hey everybody, Im hoping to hit Australia this year, beginning of September and im thinking id like to start with sydney. Traveling solo as none of my friends are going this year. Anybody in the same line? Hoping to meet new people! Any advice would be great

Hi Char, I'm heading to either Melbourne or Sydney in probably mid/late September. Sorry I'm not answering your question, I'm in the same situation as you! I'm just wandering if you have work lined up when you arrive unless you are planning on constant travel. I want to partly travel the country and partly stay grounded for my time there but im slightly worried about having no work when I get there and I don' want to go with those companies.

Ah so exciting!! Yeah have a hostel booked for the 1st week we arrive and then we will take it from there.. Maybe hoping to rent an apartment.. So if your looking a room? I'm flying out with two lads.. So will need some girl company!!! ?? x
Ah class.. I imagine ill have found an apartment by then but if not, that sounds ideal! ?what hostel are you booking into? I haven't done a whole lot of research just yet but have heard "wake me up" is a good 1! What kind of work will you be looking for?
Awk yeah, you'll be out there for a while before us! I'm not too sure yet because STA had organised it for us, I think it's either wake me up or bounce! They seem to be the best ones. Are you travelling on the way over? at home I do administration in a law firm so I'm either looking something along the same lines or else I'll just take anything like bar work or whatever.. I've been told not too be fussy with work. What about you? X
Yeah im travelling on the way over for two weeks.. Seeing a few places in malaysia and then onto Thailand! ? my sister be coming for that part but ill be heading to Sydney solo! Im also working in admin, in an auctioneering firm so anything office related would be great. But like you said not to be picky, ill take what i get ☺ do ye plan to stay in sydney for long or will ye be moving around? X
Brilliant at least you have someone for that bit with you, you'll get settled in oz in no time I can't wait to do abit of travelling before hand leaving from dublin, first stop Dubai ? yeah I'll clean toilets as long as their paying - I'm taking 5 grand out with me and I've heard it won't last too long in oz!! Ahh! No travel plans set in stone for when we get there, I'm going to try and be laid back and see where it takes me, although would defo like to see more than just Sydney in the time I'm there. What about you? X
I haven't anything set either and i probably wont do untill im there.. I have a friend in brisbane so i probably head there at some stage, i think its just 8 hours on a bus! Booking everything this week so its all coming together ? i think my Facebook is on my profile, if you're on it add me and we can keep in touch ☺
