hi, I was just wondering how much you're required to book in advance with budget airlines e.g. ryanair and easyjet in order to get the cheapest flights? .like standsted-berlin £30 and berlin-krakow £40

thanks Aidan.

Generally speaking the earlier u book the cheaper it will be. I know that withe easyjet, the more hits they get on their site for a specific flight, the more expensive it gets. The more popular flights will and have for me, gone up every few days.

I haven't always had the best of luck in trying to book the outstanding deals Ryan Air has sometimes. You might want to try calling up the company yourself. Sometimes a nice operator will let you in on when a certain flight is going on sale or when a price change will take effect, even if they can't tell you what the price change is (i.e., up or down).
