Cheers,
We met James Burke - creater of the "Connections" and "After the Warming" series. He was sitting in the Raleigh/Durham (N. Carolina) airport waiting for the flight to Orlando. We recognised him and spoke with him for awhile. We should have just left him alone. Once we talked to him, he was mobbed by others. He had just finished the "After the Warming" project and going to Orlando to present a lecture. Very, very interesting man! (We just felt bad about drawing attention to him since all he (probably) really wanted to do was read his newspaper.) We were on the same plane, though he - of course - flew first-class.
I've met Queen Elizabeth and Princess Anne (who was really nice, chatted to me for ages about New Orleans and cajun food amongst other things). Kevin Keegan for those that know football. Bumped into Wesley Snipes in Tortola - now he has got a nice yacht, seemed like a nice bloke though we only chatted to him for a couple of minutes.
Sir Bob Geldof
Brian Keenan
The Edge from U2
(okay, they are all Irish...)
When I was working at a hotel here, I "met" Hulk Hogan and Richard Marx. Neither of them tipped me for delivering their clean laundry. BTW, the former wears pink pleather g-strings!
I would have met Nicholas Cage, but managed to miss him every time. Got to deliver stuff to his room, though - lots of leather clothes and cool shoes. Plus he once left his passport sitting around, so I kinda snuck a peek...
Tway - shame on you for sneaking a look

Or are you doing something there, Peter?
