Totally naive here but I'm planning on going to Australia on a working holiday and thinking about going through BUNAC. Wondering what anyone who's used them thought and what package they used. Thanks

The usual advice that I see regarding a working holiday in Australia is that there isn't any great need to use a company such as BUNAC (which is a subsidiary of STA Travel), or any of the other companies that may have similar offerings.

You can apply for the visa online direct from immigration. Youth hostels in the main cities (particularly Sydney & Melbourne) often have quite a few people staying there with a working holiday visa. Also these hostels usually have notice boards for things like accommodation, jobs, car sharing.

Altogether Australia is a fairly easy country to go to for a working holiday. Some people like or need to have their hand held by such offerings, or at the least use an intro package on arrival. It's up to you - are there reasons you're looking specifically with this company?

No I was just curious whether to use a company as I wasn't sure whether I'd get there and just be totally stuck as too what to do

Hey i had originally decided to book throunh BUNAC as i thought it would take the stress out of it but then i decided to price it up for doing it all myself and ended up saving around £700, that alone was enough motivation for me, so i booked it all myself and will be doing it solo! When are you hoping on being out there? :)
