Hi folks,

Its always intrigued me to meditate with monks (don't ask why) I'm travelling through east Asia and research has told me Thailand is the best place to visit monks, but where?! In Bangkok? In Phuket? Incidentally, I'm travelling to both of them cities so if anyone has any experience or could recommend somewhere please let me know!

Thanks all x

In contrast to Bangkok I think Phuket is the place you should start your search for monks from. I have never been to Bangkok yet but I hope one day I'll be traveling to that country with my family. Meditation is the best thing, it is the food for the soul. You should do it every day whether you meet any monk or not ;)

Try to explore Bangkok Temples as you will see monks walking in the morning. My suggestion is visit the temple early in the morning so you can see some monks there. They are very reserve but nice as well. -snip-

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

Wat Suan Mokkh, Wat Pah Nanachat, Khao Phanom Bencha Mountain Resort are places for meditation in Thailand.
