Hi All,

This may have been covered in previous threads but I have been unable to search for the info I need.

I'm travelling from UK to Vietnam (arriving st HCMC airport on Boxing Day). I'll be spending 10 days in southern Vietnam and the crossing into Cambodia by bus for just over a week. Then flying back into HCMC from Siem Reap and connecting to a flight to Phu Quoc island for 4 nights before flying back to HCMC & connecting to my flight home.

From my understanding I'd need a multi visit visa, but I've been told conflicting messages on other forums. A friend did a similar trip and said that Phu Quoc is exempt from visa for UK nationals so travelling into Vietnam for the second time would not require multi visit visa.

If anyone could advise me I would be so grateful! I'm happy to sort approval letter beforehand so that I can sort Visa on arrival, I just want to make sure I get this right lol.

Thanks guys.

I suggest you ask the Vietnamese embassy, but my guess would be that you need a multiple entry because you are entering & therefor going through immigration at HCMC , not Phu Quoc.

That is, unless the visa free entry apples to you - Have a look at UK foreign office advice for vietnam entry ..

Happy travels

As the recommendation from Hasbeen, I also think that you still need to get Multiple entry visa. However I just check at BestPrice Vietnam (a recommended travel company on Tripadvisor), they provide a new information that: United Kingdom may not need a visa to Vietnam for less than 15 days.
For more detail, you should contact them to find out the correct answer.
