I would like to write some comments about the new presentation of Travel photos

1. On all photos galleries the pictures are much larger and I like it :):):)

2. On Travel photography page, we have now acces to Countries photo features (I think the most popular destinations). I am also found of this direct access :)

3. On the same page we can then access to topics selection. This part is more discutable
I think once again the selected topics are the more frequent but I really don't care of some of them: #me; #new.
Some of the topics are countries: #india, #australia, or continent: #europe. Kind of duplication of point 2.
But what is really awful is that this part gives acces to all pictures referring to the topics :(:(:( . It would be much better to sort only the featured photos.

Thanks to give your own feedback

Hey Alain,

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you noticed it (and like it) :) Sorry for not replying sooner. The links to countries and topics were actually always there, but they were plain text links and not very inviting. Adding a photo to each of them has improved it a lot and made those links far more noticeable.

I came to the same conclusion on the content of the tag galleries not being very good, so I changed it to only show featured photos now. Actually filtering out some of the less interesting / duplicate tags is harder, but I'll have a look at that.

When I click a one of the photos in 'topics' or 'countries' my expectation is to arrive at that photo. Is that an unrealistic expectation?

Hi Steve,

Perhaps not unreasonable, but the photos there are just indicating the kinds of photos in the gallery. Because I need them to be landscape orientation, they may not be the first photo in that gallery. I could however make it the first horizontal photo in that gallery - maybe that would fit the expectation a bit better? At least the photo *should* show up on the page.
