Hi, I'm planning on starting my travels sometime in 2017. At first I was just planning on going too Australia for 12 months on a working holiday visa but I've always taken a liking too Thailand. I want to go there before I go too aus I'm looking to be there for 4-6 weeks.

I'm after a bit of guidance on what time of the year is best to arrive in both of these countries and what part also. I'll be flying from the uk. This will be the first time I've been traveling apart from holidays that have only been a week or so. I also think I'll be going alone so I'm just after some guidance on what to do/expect and where too meet others who are traveling for company. Thanks!

thailand is good all year round, just in different places

then select thailand, you can view month by month

i spent 3 weeks in thailand a few years back (feb 2014), but just did bangkok, the north (chiang mai/rai/pai), then koh samui & koh phangan. Will be back either later this year or next year to do the other coast (krabi etc)

as for oz, dec-feb are the hottest months, but can easily be done all year round, but is prone to tropical cyclones. i did some of the east coast in sept 2010 and was warm enough
