There is no 'best' site to find an answer chrissy1211. What's more, the answer will change daily if not hourly. If all the sites that say they 'provide you the best price' were telling the truth, then all would return you the exact same answer as each other, all the time. I'm sure you know that is not the case. So as much as everyone would love for there to be 'the site' to go to find an airfare, it simply does not exist.

So what to do? Well first, you need to understand what 'dyamic pricing' is. You can Google for all kinds of information on it but basically what it means to you is this. NO ONE can tell you where you will find the lowest price for a flight at any given point in time for any given flight date. Dynamic pricing can change a ticket price HOURLY. There is no way to know where and when the lowest price will be offered. Even the airlines themselves cannot tell you as it is a computer algorithm that decides what price to offer at any point in time. A person doesn't decide, the computer does.

Needless to say, this drives people searching for the 'best deal' crazy. They see a price they think is great, book it and then 3 days later see a price even lower. Of course they ignore the days when the price is higher. It is like the stock market. Everyone wants to buy at the lowest price. Well try predicting when that will be.

So back to what to do. Just buy a ticket and then STOP LOOKING. It doesn't take much research to get a general feel for how much a flight costs. I know if I fly from Toronto to Europe it is going to be in the $800 to $1200 Canadian range. If I'm lucky I find a seat for $800 and if not then for a bit more. The question is do I have the funds or not and if I do, I book. I book when I am ready to book. I don't try to second guess, will prices be lower if I wait till next week? I just book and forget it.

You can be the person trying to second guess it or you can avoid the heartburn. Your choice.

Chrissy, as you know there's no flights from Cleveland to Mumbai, you'll have to make a stop or two along the way.

Start your research by simply putting, "Cleveland to Mumbai flights" into Google. Its search engine is fairly good. Leaving September 1st and returning December 1st gives you lots of options for under $1,500 return.

Have a look here, and and as well.

Good luck and have fun.
