Posting on behalf of another member with difficulty

"ToonSarah has been blocked now for several days and can't contribute to the forums, work on her blog or upload photos. Despite asking several times she has had no explanation as to what she did wrong and would really like to know so that she can correct it and continue to contribute to the site - or, if permanently banned for some mysterious reason, move on elsewhere. Can someone explain here what the issue is? Thank you (on behalf of Sarah)"
Cheers!

Hi

I have looked at Sarah's posts and can't see any reason why she would be blocked, so whatever has happened appears to be in error. However I don't have rights on the site to investigate further or unblock the account etc.

Can you advise what error Sarah is getting when trying to log on?

If you haven't already, I would suggest sending a direct message to one of the admins - either Peter or SamIam - as they should be able to resolve this for Sarah.

:(

I'm not seeing any of her posts flagged for attention by a Moderator. Her blog also doesn't have a report on it. That means I'm baffled; from what I know, she should be able to post without any problems.

She definitely isn't banned (her account would show up as "Inactive" if that was the case).

I fear this'll need Peter to have a look. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Looks like Sander and I overlapped. :)

I've just sent a message to Peter about this.

Quoting bex76

Looks like Sander and I overlapped. :)

I've just sent a message to Peter about this.

Me too. :)

It's nearly midnight for him, so we're probably just too late for a very swift resolution, but fingers crossed that he might stay up late tonight. :)

From Sarah as she can't even reply here apparently

I see some helpful replies from moderators who want to know what message I'm getting, but of course I can't reply. Could you do me another favour Kirsty and reply that I get "Your account has been flagged for review. Until this has been reviewed by a moderator, you won't be able to post in the forum. Please review our forum rules in the meantime." in the forums and "Sorry, your blog was flagged for review. We will need to unlock that flag manually before you can continue. Contact us if this message lasts more than a day." when I try to edit my blog.

And she has sent 2 direct messages to Peter as well

Thanks, those messages should be really helpful for Peter to figure out what's going on.

If a blog has such a flag on it, it also doesn't show up to visitors, but http://toonsarah.travellerspoint.com/ shows just fine for me. That to me indicates there might've been a flag in the past (probably by ModBot again?), and that clearing it somehow didn't clear it everywhere? (I've never heard of such a problem happening before, though.)

ToonSarah: it's unlikely to be the problem, but just to rule it out, and if you know how: Could you clear your browser's cache, and all cookies from travellerspoint, and log in again after that?

Also: Peter's been really busy off site with some personal tasks, so he's less responsive than usual. Bad timing, that.

To Sander from Sarah

Please tell Sander that I've tried his suggestion of clearing cache and cookies and it hasn't resolved the problem. Also thank him please for his assistance

Still no Peter, eh?

I've just used my secret bat-signal for site emergencies to hopefully get his attention.
