I've also gotten the message that my travel pages have been imported. If I understand correctly, there isn't a way to link those pages up to the photos yet?? Is there any way to see the pages?

Not yet. Peter will be working on a way to make these visible and useful on the site, but that requires a lot of work to fit into the existing structure, so is expected to take several months.

Just sent you a link Cinthya. I think I've sent everyone who requested a link the link at this point. Please let me know if not

And an update: 92 members have done the import so far copying a total of 479,000 photos, 150,000 tips and 20,000 location pages!

Based on my estimate of about 6.5 million photos total on VT, I think we've pulled in about 7% of the photographic content at least and I'm guessing probably a similar percentage of the tips / location pages

I sent you a PM in regards to receiving the link. I am dey on VT, my URL:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/293db/

Sorry for such short notice!

Peter should be sound asleep, so I just sent you the link. (And just now see you PMed me as well. Good thinking!) :)

You can't for now. Peter needs to develop a structure for the VT content (reviews and intro pages) to be incorporated into this site, so meanwhile they will remain stored but invisible

Thanks! I just found out via Jojes

Peter needs to send out more than a page count of intros and tips since VT closes down tomorrow. It's a difficult thing to depend upon faith in the programmer. Maybe a sample blog can be created from a stream of intro and tip for a place?

Give him time! He's focused up to now on developing the process for importing as that was urgent (needed to be done before VT closes). To make the reviews etc visible will mean a major rethink of this website, and he's warned it will take a few months.

Very happy that I was able to import my data before it disappeared. Thanks for the help and am happy to find this new community.
