Thanks Peter, the "click here" link was not there in the message I got in my hotmail, but it was there in "my messages" on Travellerspoint.

The transfer of my pictures was smooth. Really looking forward to see pictures and reviews coupled in the future!

Great job and looking forward to contribute to Travellerspoint in the future!

I have been reading this post with great interest. I have received two messages in my gmail, but for the life of me, I cannot find a link or instructions on how to
step-by-step download my pages from VT.

Could you point me in the right direction, please?

Thank you for all the work you are doing to help all VT members find a new home for their VT pages.

Janetanne

I just ran the script, and it worked! All you do is click the link, enter the URL of your VT home page, and walk away from the computer for awhile. My export took about 30 minutes.

Also, for those who don't know, VT has set up a feature where you can export your travel pages to a pdf file and save them to your computer (doesn't seem to work on tablet or phone just yet). Just go to the travel page you want to download, click "edit," and you will get an option to save intro, tips, and travelogues. Photos are exported as thumbnail, but you can go back and download the full-size photo separately.

@ Peter: I have in the meantime passed the information on to jojes, janetanne, nicolaitan, yumyum-ch and ExRanger49 - all of them are well-known VTers.

Folks, remember that it's the middle of the night in Australia right now... Peter will be, or should be, sound asleep at this hour.

It looks like it worked fine for me as well. All my 7397 photos are now here, although I don't find any system in the order, but they are here. So thanks a lot for all your effort. Let's see how things continue ... :)
