Ciao Giovanni!

Where in Yucatan do you plan on visiting?

The Yucatan Peninsula is one of the most stunning places I have seen. If you want a great populated beach town, Playa Del Carmen is thriving with restaurants, nightlight and shopping. Playa Del Carmen is located near the towns of Tulum (good beach and ruins) and Akumal Beach (snorkel with sea turtles)

If you're looking for a hidden gem, Isla Holbox is a great island to visit with it's pristine beaches. It's more of a sleepy town but a good place to get away from it all. Rio Lagartos Biosphere is also an amazing place to visit with its flamingos and salt lakes (accessible by paid boat).

For more adventure I would visit Ek Balam and Coba (you are allowed to climb to the top of both ruins) and Chichen Itza (no climbing but an interesting place to visit). If you visit Ek Balam, there is a small town called Vallidolid which has a few beautiful churches if you're into photography.

You must also visit Cenote Il Kil for a quick dip and some lunch or Rio Secreto which is an amazing underground cave.

If you're based in Playa Del Carmen, you can take the ferry across for a day (or two) trip to Cozumel.

Enjoy!

Then you would want to visit Ek Balam and Coba (which are ruins you can climb) and Chichen Itza. Rio Secreto is an underground river cave system which is interesting and Cenote Ik Kil is a fascinating sinkhole for swimming. AirBNB has a few treehouses you can rent in Tulum. Good luck!
