Thanks for the prompt reply Peter - I'll try that

No sorry, adding that (?count=all) doesn't work for me - I get an error page. I've tried with and without the quotation marks. Am I doing something wrong?

Oops, sorry - you're right. Try "?count=20000" (or whatever is a workable number!)

Great thanks, that works:)

Greetings gentle people........d:o)
I am trying to upload photos, but as I give them a name and a label and a Tag and a description and a location, - I get a burgundy note to add location. if I save changes and then go back to my photos, all my editing is gone. Tried several times. Pretty sure I am not getting it........Help please........d:o)

On another note.
I tried to become a Travel Helper. I realize that most folks will have 2 or 3 or even 5-10 destinations, so not a big job to input. My question is, do I have to do this for EVERY destination? I am literally all over the globe. My last list (at VT), I was Top Five in over 300 locations. It was actually more, but in the last days of VT I dropped some of them. Rallied between Number 4 and Number 8 as top Travel Forum responder of the entire membership. (They called it "Guru".....). Just trying to figure out if there are any shortcuts I can take, or do I have to do each place/destination at a time? No worries if that is the case, it will just take a bit of time........d:o)

By the way, - and I do get questions about it, - my smiley face........d:o)
It is just a smiley face with a baseball cap turned sideways..........................d:o)

Odd .. very odd.

http://www.travellerspoint.com/photos/gallery/users/Odinnthor/ & they have captions & a few at the bottom have descriptions but no locations or tags except the one with 'me'

Have you tried editing them from .. Control Panel .. My Photos ?

I loaded some myself & it worked fine for me

When you type a location, do you get an autocomplete suggestion directly underneath the location? If so, click on the name in there to correctly set the location. If you don't, it doesn't know the geographical coordinates for the location you typed, and sadly prevents you from saving the information at all. (There's fallback to a selectbox if it recognizes the typed location exactly, but frequently it doesn't.)

If you don't get such an autocomplete, you're probably blocking a necessary external script (I have the same; have never really looked into it). Easiest thing to do then is leave the location field empty, and later map the photo through the map interface.

I'll try to investigate a bit more tonight.

I fell for this effect in the beginning, too. It happens if you just type the name of the destination and then leave it at that. You have to click onto the default entry in the little box that opens right below (or use the map if it isn't the place you want). This click makes the GPS coordinates appear. Only then the photo is really mapped.

Thank you Sander, - I expected this to be my lack of understanding.......
However I will try what you said. It just so happens that the first blog was about my ship days, and typing in the location "Heading out to sea" will not work, or "At the dock in St. Thomas" will not work either. but hey I will eventually get it.......d:o)
Just to recognize, - clearly both you and Peter have not had much sleep since we asked for refugee asylum, and believe me, we all appreciate the above and beyond efforts you have all showed us.
Much respect.

Heh, yeah, sea based locations are tricky. :) Pick the nearest location that can be found through the autocomplete, and then afterward drag the location away on the map until it's where it actually should be.
