Star this if you like it!
Very silly question:
is there a glitch with the map & photos?
I wanted to try Peter's original suggestion to go to the map and "map" from there. I could do that in the past (ok, in the beginning when I rejoined).
Now, no matter which "my map" I am clicking: the one in the main menu (between accommodation and planner), the one in "my photos" or the one in the drop down of my control panel:
I can only see a white part where the globe map once was.
I can see only a black bar where the "Photo" button once was.
And beneath the black bar I can only see the three trips I have added so far, and the green button "add new trip".
But nothing else.
Did I do something wrong?
I would add a screenshot but..
Thanks!
PS: otherwise I am fine with "locating" my photos: I do it via the "my photos" and then the 100 photo steps. Like Sarah (I think it was you, Sarah) I only want the rough destination for now. And later, when I work on blogs about specific places, I would map each photo properly.

That is is odd .. I can see them fine although it took a few seconds for the links on the black bar to appear & then a few more for the photos Are you using a small device like a tablet or phone? Have you changed browsers since your successful tries?

Thank you Steve and Sarah!
Steve:
no, I use the same Firefox I am using since ages (and the newest version). I have a new notebook since a couple of weeks, but rejoined TP after that.
I tried to see if the photo buttons are visible when I log in with Chrome - but no, they aren't.
I also tried to be patient and wait - nothing. And nothing happens when I hover over the back bar with my mouse.
What I saw though is that the black bar is slightly less black (very dark grey) on the left hand side = where I had the photo thumbnails in the past (and where I now only see my three trips)

It is even more strange:
when I click on one of my three trips, there is no map anymore to show the trip course. And when I want to add a stop, nothing happens (= the green button "insert stop" does not work).
Can't check further, must go soon.
But thanks all!

Is this still happening?

Yes, Steve, it is still happening = nothing happens in any of the three "map" possibilities.
What I find strange is that it also happens when I use Chrome, which I had only used once for something different, so it can't really be a cookie/cache clearing thing.
Nevertheless, I'll do the clearning thing later this week with my Firefox to see if it helps.

Just check that you aren't zoomed out in your browser. It can do this disappearing trick if it's zoomed out. The other thing is - do you have javascript enabled? Because that would definitely explain the map disappearing. To test, you can try clicking on the star in any entries in this thread while logged in - if you don't have Javascript enabled that will just do nothing.

Well that seemed to work, so I guess you do have Javascript at least
