What's your favorite country and how often do you visit it? :) :)

I am supposing that you mean our favorite country other than the one we live in. Like maybe the place we would move to if we could. Of course the other limitation is that we have to have visited. Maybe New Zealand would be my favorite, but I have never been there.

When I first saw the question, I thought my answer would be Bermuda which I have visited seven times. I always enjoy going there. But maybe I would get tired of Bermuda if I went every year, so my next thought was the Virgin Islands - I've been there 12 times. The problem with the Virgin Islands though is hurricanes.

So my final thought is that my favorite country is the UK - I've only been there four times, 1950, 2002, 2007, and 2015 (unless you count going through Heathrow in 2016) but I don't think I would ever run out of interesting places to see no matter how often I visited.

this is an age old question asked to travelers, I really can't whittle it down to one country My faves from backpacking/traveling the world since 2010 are New Zealand, Mexico, Bali, Laos and Colombia

These are countries that I just fell in love with, connected with and places I didn't want to leave. I even went back to New Zealand just for a quick holiday when I lived in Bali

What's your fave if you have one?

My hands-down favorite is France. We go at least once a year and more often when I can pester my husband into it. I love it there because there is so much to see and do. Every part of the country is completely different from every other part so it is always new. They treasure tradition so it has lots of history. They value art so you have everything from cave paintings going back thousands of years to very modern work being done today. The radio stations play all kinds of music, not just one kind per station like ours do. There are mountains, beaches, forests and even a bit of desert. Not to mention the food . . .

At home, I like home best. We live in California and it will never cease to fascinate me. I love it here. Again, we have mountains, beaches, cities, small towns, history and fantastic scenery.

Quoting greatgrandmaR

By that criterion, I would say Italy.

But as to favourite country I have visited, in terms of how much I enjoyed the experiences I had there, loved the scenery/culture/etc. I would have to be allowed five please!

Ecuador
Chile
Guatemala
Japan
Namibia
