I'm visiting Korea soon. Since I would stay there for a month, using wifi is necessary. One of my friends said there might be a wifi rental place for visitors. If there is, where and how can I rent the hotspot device?

Off the top of the head I can think of Olleh and Widemobile that can be reserved online and picked up at the airport. Olleh is probably the more popular one but more expensive. Widemobile is the cheapest one I seen my friends use with unlimited data.

Choose a hotel with free wifi!

Hotel won't be enough trust me. I had to make my phone a mobile hotspot on my data plan for my friend so he can use google maps while he visited. Also a lot of the coffee shops have free wifi but you'll need to order something. I dont think the cost of a portable wifi device will outweigh the need for reliable internet.
