Hi,

I see a green line on the left bottom of my map and there is a 1 at the beginning and a 5 at the end of that line.
What is the meaning of this line and the numbers ??

thanks a lot !

I don't see a green line at the bottom. http://www.travellerspoint.com/member_map.cfm?user=globetrottVT has green lines but not at the bottom. There are numbers there too .. hover over a number & it says there are that number of places grouped . click a number & the map zooms to un-group .. but I don't think that is what you mean.

Give us a link to show what you are talking about . . & are you using a mobile or desk-top.

Ok . I see it now . . on your stats page http://www.travellerspoint.com/stats/globetrottVT/

I think the number 5 is the country that has the most visits.

On my stats page my number is 24 .. I removed Canada visits for one map & the number went to 23 .. I added a visit to Canada & the number went back to 24.

As stats go, it is not too helpful .. but then it is said there are lies, damn lies & statistics . . at least in this case for me it seems to be true.

Yes - the one is the least number of visits to any of your visited countries and the five is the number of times you've visited your most visited country. As hasbeen says, it's other the most useful of statistics!

OK, thanks a lot for the explanation !
It is a kind of stat that does not really indicate a lot of information and it also looks a bit strange and confusing right there on the map in my opinion !

Yeah, it can just be ignored. It's built into the map plugin that I used from Google to show on that page and I think I couldn't get rid of it. Digging into it is a pretty low priority so it will probably stay that way ;)
