The next holiday is a quick pop in to see my mother in the UK and then getting the ferry over to Rotterdam and heading down eventually to Rome. This'll be December/January so the bit in the Alps from Geneva to Innsbruck and down to Venice might be interesting. And then Egypt, Israel and Jordan in April.

Moldova in a few weeks time, then a stop in Vienna and Bratislava on the way back.

I'm hoping to go to Moldova early next year. Looks a really nice place and for some reason, avoided by most tourists. I want to go before it becomes too touristy.

Tasting Tasmania in May 2018 :)

A nice slow drive for almost 2 weeks enjoying wineries, breweries, fresh seafood including oysters, historical sites, many awesome photography opportunities and much more. We are doing a taggalong campervan trip so if anyone is interested you are welcome to join us. I have advertised here on TP. No more than 2hrs driving a day and staying a couple of nights in a few destinations. Good chance to get together for food, drinks and sharing travel conversation in a picturesque part of the world. Check out the trip in the Australia Meet Group or flick me a message here on TP.
Cheers
Ann

Yes, it looks really interesting and some of the scenery around Chisinau looks stunning. I'm really looking forward to it. At the moment it's the least visited country in Europe!

I like cycling and Moldova looks a nice place to cycle around. Plus I fancy doing one of the wine tours. I don't even drink wine but they looked fascinating when I was scouting for places to see if I decided on Moldova.

I'm surprised it's so little visited since it looks a gorgeous country.

I am so glad to see Tasmania getting so many mentions. I always feel like it is the state that gets skipped. Aussirose your trip sounds amazing, I wish I could join:( but we will be in Tassie November this year. Last time we visited Tassie we spend a lot of time around the western side, around Cradle Mountain and up the Derwent. This time we 'll be taking in the sights of the East:).

I spent 2 weeks in Tasmania during the 3 months I travelled around Australia; it's a stunning state and it's a shame that many travellers skip it. I was so glad I went and it's definitely up there with my favourite parts of Australia.

Also, BEX. I'm interested in what you think of your trip. It was a couple of months ago we discussed it a little.

I will let you know Derek.

I know Tasmania is such an underrated destination. I'm happy you discovered how amazing it is:). I too am interested in hearing about your Moldova travel, it is a place I am intrigued to visit. I also would love to know what you think of Slovakia as we are going to be there for a few days the year after.
