Greece mainland and islands

Hi!

I visited from 2 years ago Messina kardamyli stupa geithio neapoli,monemvassia and nafplio in the peloponnese.

I am programing to return in greece in summer 2018 for 3 werks ( from 23 august to 12 september).

Do you find interesting to return in the peloponnese to visit pylos Methoni, Koroni and the giolova bay?(but i don't want to have a deception after visiting the otherside!.

In the way of return ,i am programing a stop to visit epidavros and continue to galaxidi , preveza,parga ,meteores and athens.

Or
2)
After the peloponnese and epidavros, 2 options:
a) return to athens airport for a flight to skiathos to visit the sporades islands?

b) from athens airport a flight to naxos and tinos
or a flight to astypsleia ,amorgos and naxos.

I guess you are willing to hire a car. In that case I would consider Delphi/Galaxidi, then heading towards Lefkas, Preveza, Parga area, splitting time and been based wherever suits you on this area. I would consider exploring Ioannina and Metsovo area, for a quite different aspect of Greece. Then I would continue heading to Meteora and returning to Athens, or if there is time left, explore Pelion area and even crossing to Sporades from Volos or Agios Konstantinos ports. So many places, so little time lol

My way of thinking is that west mainland Greece and the Ionians are an area not so often visited when one enters Greece from Athens and they offer lots to see and do. Peloponnese is quite easy to visit or revisit on a future trip of less days, while Cyclades are an easy connection from Athens on many flights and ferries per day and you could save them for when you don't feel like driving much. Of course no right or wrong here.

Thank you very much for your reply and for the information.

Yes the time is not enough.So i have to choose between the West and the East mainland Greece .

I have reviewed my itinerary to fly to Volos or Thessaloniki , visit Meteora and continue for some days in Skiathos with a day excursion to the pelion (kati giorgios) and some days in Skopelos and Alonissos.

Maybe i will flight directly to Skiathos instead of Thessaloniki or volos, to spend the first part of my holidays in the Sporades.In this case i keep Meteora to combinate it with Metsovo ioannina parga and preveza for a next time.

For the second part of my itinerary ,i i am programing to spend it in Samos with a flight via Athens or a direct flight from Thessaloniki.(There is a ferry from sporades to Thessaloniki).
What do you think about this option?
