And this after your post in the GPS thread? Yeah, no - if you're that transparent, we're not even going to wait for the spam link to drop.

Does not keep important things in a luggage bag. Keep a tracker in luggage bag, use quality locks for locking luggage bags.

Remember a dozen heavy cases may be dumped on top of your case, which can also be thrown about, so leave nothing remotely breakable in it.

Many bags are full of zips nowadays. Thieves must love them.

Definitely agree. Also, it'd be better to use multiple locks in your luggage to add more security and gps tracker is also a good idea as well.

Many bags look the same coming off conveyor belts at an airport.

I stenciled my initials on my bag. About 2 inches high. If someone walks off with my bag he or she will know it is not their bag! The initials make it easy to see the bag from a distance. (This is in addition to the normal bag tags the airline attaches to the bags.)

I have a couple of quite unusual stickers (not travel related) on my plastic case and a careful but sizeable splash of a noticeable colour paint on my backpack (although that gets used much less often now...:( ) .
Neither would be easily collected by mistake.

I have tied a colourful scarf in handle of my suitcase, but usually we travel only with hand luggage so there is only small chance for it to get mixed up with someone elses :)

My mother taped her hard side luggage with freezer tape in interesting patterns. She also had a hair tie on the handle of her soft bag.

But my best advice is - don't put anything in a checked bag that you can't bear to lose. Nothing valuable - no jewelry or electronics. All there is in my checked bags are clothes, maybe a pair of shoes, travel information off the internet (which I could get on my phone if I had to), and things like dental floss, soap, mouthwash etc which I could buy at my destination if I needed to.

Yeah, nothing really can give you an absolute peace of mind, sadly - perhaps send the valuables beforehand with UPS or FedEx?
