I've had great problems getting into TP today as my browser (Chrome) is unhappy with the security settings. I thought it was just me and my PC set-up but I've learned from a friend, Grete, that she's having the same problem using different browsers - Firefox and Edge. So it seems to be a wider issue. Has anyone else had problems? Is there something amiss with the site?

Everyone will be having this. There is a problem with the site, but it's a matter of being badly configured, with the SSL certificate of a site Peter is (presumably) hosting/running as a volunteer erroneously being presented for travellerspoint.
Bypassing the security dialog (as you must've done) is in this case entirely okay.

I've emailed Peter about it, just in case he wouldn't see it himself, but I wouldn't expect a fix earlier than ~5 hours from now, as it's still the middle of the night for him.

Thanks Sander - yes, I assumed it would be OK to bypass it as I knew the site was safe :)

Just in case: If you ever get an error like that for a "safe" site like your bank, do not bypass it. Just leave and come back the next day.

Also, if you get errors like that for multiple sites at once, particularly when using an internet connection you don't usually use (e.g. at the airport, in a cafe, or whatever), also don't bypass it, but find different internet access.

Being able to tell the difference between a stupid configuration mistake like this, and a malicious "man-in-the-middle" attack, is pretty much impossible under most circumstances.

Same here since today's Windows update.

I encounter it today too. Maybe it's because SSL certificate is expired

No reaction from Peter yet. I've escalated it to his phone.
