안녕하세요 everyone !

So, I'm a nineteen woman (twenty in Korea). I'm planning to stay three months in South Korea (june, july, august) and I really need your help. I've been looking at all the websites I could find, hostels, airbnb, I can't count... And all the things that I found were really so expensive. So now, I still don't know where I'm gonna stay for all this time. I'm searching for a place in Seoul (or at least the most close possible to Seoul) for 352 USD (383 371KRW) max (if I can find something under that price I would be happy tho) per months. I don't care if I have to share the kitchen/bathroom with other people but I would like to have a private bedroom. I already searched for guesthouses in Korea but they weren't under 470 USD (511 888KRW) per months and it's really too expensive for me, I can't pay 1410 USD for three months... So I need your help or maybe just a little advice on that with your experience, I'm all ears! Thank you in advance! 감사합니다 !!

It sounds like you need to decide which way you will compromise.

You could travel for a shorter time, spend some time sleeping in dorms, live more frugally beforehand to save up more, or reduce your spending money on activities to afford your private room.

Yes it can be a possibility... I think I'm gonna work more and save more money to afford a private room. Thanks for your answer

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but South Korea is expensive to live in:(. The cheapest thing in South Korea is the internet I did read a blog of someone who did something similar to what you are planning but she could only afford it by working for the duration of her stay so that could be an option but she had her job lined up before she arrived.

Another thing to consider is maybe staying in a different city for the majority of your visit. I have heard Busan can be a lot cheaper than Seoul and it has lots of interesting things to see and do like Seoul. Perhaps consider moving around more rather than staying in one place, it could prove to be a cheaper option.

Anywhere in Asia or only South Korea, perhaps for friends or family? There are some cheaper countries to visit.

Stay half the time and double the money you have available! If you have relatives in Korea could they help out or make recommendations?

Good luck.
