Hello, I want to go with my husband and our dog in November 2019 fe9m Toronto, Canada to Patagonia Argentina. I'm Brazilian and speak fluent Spanish, english...
If anybody could help with information as how long would take? How much money I'm expecting to spend? Any tips? How much gas? Any places you would recommend?
I appreciate any kind of help.
Thank you,
From canada to Argentina and all way back
This guy drove a jeep from Alaska to Argentina. His blog also has useful advice on crossing the various borders.

Bottom Line
Distance Driven: 64,517km (50,000mi.)
Countries Visted: 17
Time: 1 yr 10 months
Breakdowns: 0
Total Cost: $27, 300
I'm back from Argentinia and spent 2 days in Rio. I'd say that Argentina is (much) cheaper than Brazio - Buneos Aires is probably 1/3rd cheaper than Rio.
Globally I found the cost of lodging and eating cheap - compared to European standards at least. I rarely paid more than 100 pesos per meal per person for example, which is impossible (for me) in France. Hotels were usually below 500 pesos a night, also quite cheap compared to France.
Internal flights I found expensive though.
There is no road from Panama to Columbia, so you might want to check your options for ferrying the car accross before you get there. There are some great blogs that will tell you step by step the process as it is quite beauracratic.
Thank tou guys. Im from Brazil and I also lived in Argentina so I know what expect there. Im trying to save 55 thousand Canadian dollars for me, my husband and my dog and trying to keep one year and a half for tgat.
Someone know how much cost to send the car back from Brazil or Argentina to Canada?
It's Roro the transport that will bring it ?

If you want to bring the car to Canada from Brazil or Argentina you will have to go freight. That is too long a sea journey to go RORO.

My guess is you are saying you want to DRIVE your own car all the way to Argentina from Canada.
While you are doing your research also see if you can actually bring your dog into each country you pass through. There may be some quarantine requirements too.
Maybe skirt around Venezuela will be safer for your dog. Some news stories claims that the local Venezuelan people are starving and are eating their pets and breaking into zoos for meat to eat. (I have no first hand proof of this. However if your dog well fed, fat and free of disease he might be on the menu!)

Each country you pass through will have their own visa requirements and whatever permission is needed for importing your car.
Here is an old post with a similar trip.

Is the long drive more important or the final destination? You could fly to Argentina and from there explore the nearby countries and fly home. Maybe rent a car locally for your travels. Speaking the local language you should be able to get a good deal or even rent a car from a relative.
You can break your trip down with a visit to to the US and return home with your car. Then fly to Argentina, etc.

Sorry, what does tgat mean to you?
Very ambitious trip. Wish I had the money and time for it.

Is it possible to drive through the gap from Panama and Columbia?
Finesser, it is not possible. But there is a system set up to ferry your car around....As stated, it's somewhat of a red tape issue.
