Hi everyone!

My wife and I are both masters degree students moving from NYC area to Seattle, WA in June, after graduation. We are looking for opportunities to drive someone's SUV, minivan or van across the country to the greater Seattle area (Portland also possible) - pick up in the New York / north Jersey area in the beginning of June and drop off in the North-West in mid-late June (16 - 20 days total).

We are both over 30 years old and have approximately 15 years of driving experience.

If there is anyone here interested in delivering their car (SUV or larger only) at minimum-to-no cost from the North-East to the North-West of the country around these dates, feel free to respond here for further details.

Contact RV dealerships or manufacturers. They often need someone to drive an RV across country. I have an acquaintance who actually makes a living doing this. It's not a great living but it would serve your purpose. Car rental agencies and dealerships might be open to the suggestion too.

Good luck. It's a great drive. I hope you can spend a little time sightseeing.

Hi Aaron!

Too bad you're not driving sooner, I'm looking for someone to drive my Jetta from Rhinebeck, NY to the LA area (Santa Barbara) sometime this month. If I come across anyone in my search looking for a driver in June I'll let you know - best of luck!

There is an old post on this subject, see below:

I came across the above link from a simple Google search. Do a search with various phrases, perhaps you will come across something you can use.

Good luck.
