Travel Forums Central/South America & The Caribbean How dangerous is Brazil for camping?

I plan my trip with my friends to Brazil, and we want to do camping in nature for a couple of days. With us will be a guide, and he agrees to help us with advice. We must buy a tent, a pair of frying pans, matches, a mattress, and most importantly a mosquito net. But first we have to pass the doctors so that they let us fly there. There are also many different things, but we need to sleep on the mattress. I'm thinking of buying an air mattress to protect myself from the ground, and it was soft. He advised me to look at the mattresses and read the articles, because I have back pain. I found an interesting mattress -snip- I liked him very much. I also read many forums, and articles, also a good article -snip- someone already slept on this mattress, I'm interested in the opinion, since I'll go to the store in a couple of days to test it. What else would you advise taking with you? And how dangerous is this camping?

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

I would also bring insect repellent. Where in Brazil are you camping?

I would guess at the office in the mattress store selling -snip- as recommended by the room mate of the uncle of the guide who happens to have just bought a bunch of shares of -snip-.

It depends where you'll go for camping as some places are safe enough with a guide while others are not.
