Is it possible to duplicate a trip ?
In order to create variants when we are preparing a trip, or to have a trip with the complete ways and another with only the cities steps and not having to redo everything.

It seems like it should be possible if you give it a slightly different name. With luck, someone who knows what they are talking about should sign on soon and give you an authoritative answer. You might at least try that though. Good luck. :)

There is an option to duplicate other people’s trips but not your own. I didn’t purposely make it impossible - more of an oversight. At some point i’ll fix that issue but in the meanwhile the workaround is to create a second account with the same trip in it. Then you can duplicate from that one into your main account.

Why would Sally's solution not work Peter? I would have thought that it should. Certainly I have trips that look like duplicates, from when I added all my past ones, as there are places we have visited more than once. Is it to do with the dates perhaps, that you can't appear to be in two places on the same day? If so, pretending it was for the following year should get round that.

You can definitely create identical trips. The question I think was about having a way of quickly duplicating an existing trip so you don’t have to enter in all the details again.

If you look at someone else’s trip you’ll see there’s an option there to duplicate it to your own map. The idea being that you might like to copy what they did. It seems now though that the more desirable feature would be to duplicate your own trips so you can create a few variants for your own planning purposes 😃

Oh yes, that makes sense - I was thinking 'create a duplicate trip' which isn't quite the same as 'duplicate this trip' ;)

Sorry, I am not getting your point. Can you please explain your question in details what you want to know. Because until I get your point how can I help you to resolve your query.

No need - if you read the thread you will see that Peter has answered it
