I have the trip mapped and planned and am trying to add information to each stop. When I go to a web site and then click on the Add to Travel Plan aplet, it asks me to sign in even though I'm already signed in. When I fill in my user name and password, it just returns me to the sign in window. I can't sign in but I'm signed in so I shouldn't have to sign in anyway. No messages, just returned to the same old sign in window.

I decided to delete the bookmarklet and reinstall it. Now it won't install and yes, I am using Chrome. When I grab the install button, I immediately get a zero with a line through it telling me it won't work . . . and it doesn't.

Confused and frustrated . . . HELP.

Hmm, I tested re-installing the bookmarklet in Chrome on both Mac and PC and it all worked very smoothly.

I wonder if you have an extension installed that's blocking it somehow? Or maybe some security software that won't allow it? If you have anything installed, perhaps try disabling briefly to see if that bypasses the problem.

Peter, I use Webroot and turned it off and still couldn't install the bookmarklet.

This is the URL that appears when I try to access it.
javascript:void((function(){var jsCode = document.createElement('script');jsCode.setAttribute('type','text/javascript');jsCode.setAttribute('charset','UTF-8');jsCode.setAttribute('src','https://tp.daa.ms/js/bookmarklet.js?r='+Math.random()*99999999);document.body.appendChild(jsCode)})());

It appears on my Bookmark Manager looking rather blank (the icon) but when I click, I have to sign in and it won't accept my sign-in information. Don't know if it's name or password because it just shows the sign-in window again and says the information is not correct. It is correct so not sure what the problem is.

Going crazy . . .

If you can click on it and it's opening up the login window, then it is installed correctly. It's a pretty basic form of a browser extension which is why it is so blank looking.

Why you are forced to sign in over and over again is more of a mystery. It's telling you the login details are wrong? What is the exact message it gives you when you try to log in? I did try logging in through the bookmarklet and it didn't have any trouble with it either so definitely something odd is happening on your end.

Peter, When I try to log in, there is no message. The log-in screen just reappears blank to be filled in again. It doesn't matter how many times I fill it in, it keeps coming back pristine and blank as though nothing had ever happened. There is no message at all.

Peter, This is even more strange. I went to the page to Add Trip Planner and tried to add that page to my Trip Plan. It worked perfectly and is now in my Trip Plan. Then I went to another outside web site and tried the same thing . . . and ended up getting the sign-in window multiple times with no message. I can save anything on TP but I can't save anything outside TP.

Ok, well I can't quite work out how you are hitting this problem, but I've got an idea to re-work the code to handle the logging in a little differently which might help. Will tackle that now.

I've put in some extra logging which might help me see what's going on in your case. Could you try clicking the bookmarklet again (on another site so it comes up with the login form)? Perhaps attempt a log in as well. It will send me a bit of information which might help. Thanks.

It didn't work. I just kept getting the blank log-in screen. It doesn't look like your regular log-in screen. It's just a plain blue 4-1/2 by 3-inch screen. Wish I knew how to send a screen shot.

Can you copy/paste this settings page URL into your browser's address bar:

chrome://settings/content/cookies

Check whether "Block third-party cookies" is ticked. If it is, that will cause the logging in to fail in the way that you are experiencing.
