Hi there!

We are Edward (24) and Oliver (24), both from Barcelona, and we thought that we could go together to Azerbaijan and/or Iran this next summer. We are open to new suggestions, and eager to travel!

See you!!

Hi
Are you planning to hitch hike or go by a tour?

A six-month old thread revived by a tour operator!

Is this a bad thing?
I am a tour operator but wanted to talk to you about my country.

People general use an independent site if they are seeking independent advice. If anyone here wants advice from a tour operator, they'd purposely talk to a tour operator. Please read the forum rules, especially point 2 about promotional posts.

This thread is about visiting either Iran or Azerbaijan in Summer 2018 - that's pretty much finished and, apart from your reply, the last post was 5 March.

Ok I didn't want to do anything bad,I just wanted to say that while crossing Iran border you can visit Iranian Churces in Tabriz which are very old and give a different image from Iran to you.You can also visit Isfahan and Vank cathedral the beautiful christian church to see how tolerable Iranians are with other religions and nationalities.
I am an Iranian tour operator trying to promote my country which many have a terrible image of it without the help of my government and even confront with its policies not selling tours.

I don't think it has a terrible image for that part of the world. Putting politics aside, and we all have our share of politicians, travellers always seem to say Iran is friendly and hospitable with lots to see.

I did get some strange looks when I said I'm considering putting Iran on my wish list

The Original post did not get response till now so I am curious if Edward and Oliver went to Azerbaijan or Iran or both or neither?

Yes, Iran is definitely on my radar. Many of our members here have posted some superb photographs of their travels in Iran - they certainly give me the urge to go.

It's definitely on my list too - hopefully for next year. Everyone who goes there absolutely raves about it.

Shame the visa is such a pain!
