According to long time French tradition, the start of the spring and summer season means that many public services will be on strike. Especially public officials and companies/services that are public or government owned. For the last few years, it seemed that even the French got a bit tired from all these strikes.

However, because 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the "1968 revolution", and also because of the reforms announced by Macron, your visit to France is more likely to be disturbed by "perturbations" than the last few years.

This special web-site (even with a mobile app) has lists of many announced strikes. Some with exact dates, some strikes are announced for an "indefinite" period. Not surprisingly, it is only in French...

The French national railways (SNCF) have an own web-page (also in English) with the many announced days of strikes of the train personnel. Click here

And for the strikes at Air France in the next two weeks (April 7, 10 and 11), you can click here

I also find this Web site useful: http://www.airlinestrikes.com/index.html

It also tracks rail and other strikes.
