I was the one who reported woinparis's comment as inflammatory. Which I think it was.

In the vein of what I said above about travellerspoint being okay with polite disagreement and criticism, I'd probably advise a bit of restraint with flagging comments as inflammatory as well. Absolutely use the reporting functionality if you ever come across heated or repeated personal attacks - and of course for any and all posts for promotional purposes - but since we're currently in the process of integrating three different communities with varying existing cultures and norms, there's bound to be some friction and re-learning how things work, and I'd say there's generally less harm done by leaving comments out then by hiding them until a moderator can review them.

That would be true if it were polite disagreement. Not accepting that some people have a different opinion, even if you think it is based on incomplete data is disrespectful of someone's opinion. This was a personal attack on Andy as a moderator. It is true that he didn't swear or call Andy rude names, but it was not polite. (In my opinion as a cranky old lady)

Certainly Prague! It's very charming in both old townhouses kind of way and medieval city kind of way. Plus cheap luxury shopping and other merits. I've recently been there with -snip-

Brussels is really beautiful. It’s the capital of Europe and it has the best beers in the world!

Brussels is the capital of Belgium - Europe is a continent and doesn't have a capital city. Best beers in the world? That really is a matter of opinion.

In a typically wasteful political fudge they shuttle the EU Parliament between Brussels and Strasbourg each month so that they each get some of the gravy. I'm told both cities suffer from higher prices for travellers because of all the expense account money floating around, as the shops, restaurants, bars and hotels inflate prices to take advantage of it.

I'd agree with that. Just planning my second visit. The Chernobyl Museum in Kiev is well worth a visit at the same time.

Although I think we've strayed far from what the original poster was asking for.
