Hello All,
I made a spontaneous decision to visit Mexico City this week. Needless to say, this is the least prepared I have been for a trip. I am planning on visiting Museo Frida Kahlo on Friday morning. I will buy my ticket ahead of time. I am staying in Tabacalera. While I know I can get a metro to Coyoacan (followed by an 18 minute walk to Museo Frida Kahlo), I have been advised NOT to travel in the metro during rush hour (which roughly ends at 10 a.m in the morning). My concern is that if I wait till rush hour is over to get to Coayacan, it will get super late and I definitely don't want to waste the morning. How much time should I factor in traffic I take an Uber from Tabacalera to Museo Frida Kahlo? Any input on the best way to do this will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

While I am not up on public transport in Mexico City my experience of rush hour was pretty bad:(. We did the opposite visiting Casa Azul at the end of the day and got the afternoon rush hour going back and it took an extra two hours. When they say crawling traffic they aren't kidding you are moving centimetres. I would think the metro should be faster than the road.
