Arriving in Capetown Sunday. First time ever and have only four days. Grateful for any and all tips. Would like to use mycitibus within the city and hope to get a day in wine country. Thoughts?

If you're a foody you must go to The Old Biscuit Mill, a food and snacks market
If you like hiking I can recomment the wagon trail at Sir Lowry's Pass
And for wine: Waterford estate has a Chocolate and wine tasting, really nice!

Thank you so much for the tips. We know four days is not much so we appreciate having as many ideas as possible. Appreciate it Stefmuts.

I did a semester there in 2010 and loved it.

Of the hikes there are to do, everybody talks about Devil's Peak and Table Mountain, but the best hike of my life was done on Lion's Head right at sunset. It's only about an hour or two but you get views of Table Mountain and Devil's Peak and the whole city bowl and, if you're lucky like I was, you'll get a few low clouds to watch sneak into the City Bowl.

I liked the District Six Museum a lot. Robben Island is very interesting and I learned a lot, but it takes the whole day and if you only have four days, you might want to weigh that against everything else you want to do. I also second Old Biscuit Mill.

And Royale on Long Street had my favorite burgers and milkshakes!
