Apparently a survey of 8000 people in the UK has put Ryanair at the very bottom of all the short-haul airlines operating in the UK for the sixth successive year. The BBC report is here.

Not a surprise.
If they weren't so cheap they'd have gone bust.

They will be glad to hear that they are getting attention. Bad press is better than no press.

After everything that's happened this year with Ryanair I'm reluctant to book with them again; I'll only use them if there is no alternative.

We've been avoiding them for the past year, after they cancelled hundreds of flights. Didn't catch us but that was sheer good luck.

to be honest, it is not that bad. safety comes first and luxury later. i have flown with flagship airlines in europe. they are not that great either.

Flying in Europe we are talking about 2/3/3.5hr journeys. I honestly able to cope with blue and yellow interior if get's me from point A to point B for less than €50.

20min taxi to the airport cost me €30. So I think the expectation for 'service' for the same price for a much longer journey (ie flight) should be set to a realistic expectations.

Flight cancellations though is a very different thing...but when it comes to the safety and the price $/£/€ I can not fault them in any way!!!

I travel with them at least 3 times a year to Spain/ Portugal etc, only trouble ive had was a 3.5 hour delay returning home from Faro but I received €800 (£715) from them within 2-3 weeks for 2 return flights which cost £56 total for 2 of us, flying on Sunday to Fuerteventura £5 out, £12 return each, costs me more for a 6 mile taxi ride when I go for a pint, I'm happy with them but I know many aren't.

The only reason Ryanair survives is cheap flights and even then, booking high season (school holidays) and booking late and you can pay more than with the GOOD airlines.

A quarter of Ryanair's profits come from rip-off extra charges they levy.

Expect more crew strikes in 2019. Ryanair treats its own people as bad as it treats its customners.
