Hi. A group of us (Canadians) are planning a trip to Egypt. Tour of Cairo and Nile. Some of the group are thinking of backing out due to safety concerns. If anyone has been to Egypt very recently (2019), could you please advise?
Thank you so much
Tina

A week at museum, pyamids. , etc..........train to luxo r , one week on east bank with temples etc....one week on west bank tomb watching ......... No problem , always felt safe......Will always go back..........for terrorist attack you have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.............be sure to go

As long as you aren't wondering off, you're safe. Besides, resort cities like Sharm el Sheikh take precautions against any possible attacks. I think those cities are the safest. And if you take a day trip to Cairo and Luxor, you won't get in any trouble, unless indeed you'll be in the wrong place at the wrong time

I’m here now. Lots of police presence but I feel very safe all the local people are super friendly and if you try to speak Arabic they will love you. Come. It’s amazing
