Hey,

I’m going to be visiting Mumbai in May, then heading to Goa for a week or two. I’m looking for suggestions about travelling to Thailand after that (have no problem stopping at different places along the way) it looks like I’ve picked monsoon season to quit my job and go to Thailand? Does anyone have any insider knowledge which will prevent me from having to head home too soon, maybe a longer trip in India? I have no idea?? Thanks

I’ve picked monsoon season to quit my job and go to Thailand?

When are you going?

If you are going to Thailand find some of the many posts for Thailand and read them for a starter.

Maybe for Thailand start a new post just for that country and not mix it up with India.

Fill out your bio/profile. Don't know if you are a citizen of India or from some other place in the world.

Tourists visit Thailand every single day of the no matter if hot, rainy or mild weather! If rainy season often the rain does not last long and usually the rain does not fall everywhere at the same time.

Well yeah, usually running out of money could be a big reason to head home early! If a foreigner you will probably be prohibited from working legally so the money you have at the beginning of the trip will be what you live on. (If not from India getting sick could be a problem; maybe from food or other causes.)

Visiting other countries means doing some research on visa requirements. How long you can stay or what you need to enter depends on passport you travel with.

Up to you.

For 2 weeks, you may plan as below:
New Delhi ( 2 nights)
Agra (1 night)
Jaipur (2 nights)
Udaipur (2 nights)
Mumbai (2 nights)
Goa (5 nights)
You may add more cities like Ahmedabad, Pushkar, Jodhpur, varanasi etc if you want to make your stay even longer in India.
