Private Photo Gallery?

Travel Forums System Talk Private Photo Gallery?

I have a blog with one posted entry and a few additional ones that I'm working on but have not yet posted. My issue is that the photography gallery is showing photos from unpublished blogs which I don't want everyone to see (yet). Is there a way to make the photo album private so I'm the only one who can see it (but photos are visible in blog entries). Or a way to keep photos from unpublished posts from showing up in the gallery?

The photo gallery and the blog are separate services here on travellerspoint, where you can use one, or the other, or both, which means that "photos from [blog] posts" is not a concept that is used or based on which decisions can be made.

When you upload photos, there's a setting "Show in gallery". If you turn off that setting, then the photo won't show in your public gallery, but you can still use it in your blog entries. However, you'll have to manually switch on the "Show in gallery" setting at a later point when you want the photo to become visible in your public gallery.

Also it's important to be aware that the photo won't be completely "private". It just won't show in the public gallery, but its URL might still be guessed (or simply found through your blog post when you publish that), so don't use travellerspoint for photos you want to remain really private.

I'm uncertain if a photo with "allow featuring" turned on, but "Show in gallery" turned off, could be featured (and thus be publicly visible that way). I think not, but am not completely certain, so if you really care, then it might be worthwhile to also turn that setting off
