I have a Spain study visa D multiple entry of 180 days, issued on 19/09/18 and valid until 1/04/19. First I entered on 10/10/18 and went to Turkey on 09/12/18 for about two weeks, then my second entry was on 24/12/18.
Now i have a serious problem:
1. I have extened my study time until June. In this case I must extend my visa too. However the immigration office stated for me that the extension processes takes at list 5 months to get the approval, which this don't make any sense. So please someone can help about this?

2. If this extension processes couldn't be solved as soon as possible. Then does it mean that I must leave from Spain on 01/04/19?
I almost have 22 days from my late entry after my visa was issued and other two weeks from my stay in Turkey, Totally making almost a month. So in this case I didn't complete yet the 180 day's. Does this permit me to stay after my visa expires?

3. I'm traveling to Portugal and France in the coming week, can I still travel to before the expire date 01/04/19.

I would really appreciate if someone could give me some information!

Luwi - it might help if you told us what passport you're travelling on - what's your nationality?

Eritrean nationality
But live in Turkey for quite a while if that has to do something with it

It's only potentially relevant if you have full Turkish residency.

It may not make any sense to you but you have been told by an official source (apparently). It is as it is.

>If this extension processes couldn't be solved as soon as possible. Then does it mean that I must leave from Spain on 01/04/19?

Yes. If you do not leave the Schengen area (not just Spain) by 1/4 you will be overstaying. Whether you leave by land, sea or air your overstay will be known by the authorities because there is a shared system of entry and exit dates. Overstaying can (and often does) result in a fine and/or refusal of entry to the whole Schengen area for x number of years. If you hope to visit, work, study or live in any Schengen country in future do not overstay.

>So in this case I didn't complete yet the 180 day's. Does this permit me to stay after my visa expires?

No. Your visa expires on 1/4 and that's when it expires. How many days you've stayed before a visa expires is irrelevant.

>I'm traveling to Portugal and France in the coming week, can I still travel to before the expire date 01/04/19.

You can travel within the Schengen zone (including Portugal and France) until 1/4.
