Hey everyone!
I know this isn't travel-related at all, but if you have good ideas it would be greatly appreciated!
Me and my sister are organising birthday party for our mom this summer, so there is plenty of time to get everything done. All is under control except the weather, we are going to our cabin with immediate family to have the party.
Our mom is soon 50 year old nurse and youngest of 3 children (2 older brothers). She has a good sense of humor, she enjoys to spend time with her family and in our cabin (where we are all going for the party
). She has a 3 children me (29y), my sister (17y) and my brother (15y) and our family also includes my siblings father and our beloved dog. She likes palm tree beaches and reading and walks. She is never still, always doing something
What if its raining, do you have any suggestions to what program we can have indoors? As earlier said, any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
R,
Henna

Is charades a bit too tame for your crew?
How about some other game, like a card game or, say, Monopoly? Scrabble?
If the weather looks crap, plan a big feast where everybody does a bit to help prepare it and cook it.
Ask your mom what her very favorite film is, or something she hasn't seen yet but really wants to. If it rains, settle in for some viewing, even though she likes to be on the move as you say. My mom is the same way, but a good movie or series, along with a rainy day, is something she enjoys doing - it's the only thing that makes her sit still!

Is it enough?
Tough to say.
I bet Mom will be happy enough having her family around and she will likely remember the time you are spending together and the effort you are putting in to planning this. It really sounds like you have some solutions sorted out, but don't put too much pressure on you and those who are planning it.
How about a scenic drive? If it rains and it's not too heavy you could still go for a great drive through the country.

Suppose you are right and I am overthinking this, that was what my sister said
I just want mom to have really good time! And I know about weather in here enough to know that there is good possibility of rain.
Scenic drive as an idea sounds perfect! But we are literally in the middle of the woods, hundreds of kilometres roads and nothing else to see but trees

You are in the forest - that sounds perfect. Is it flat, or are there mountains?
