Hi,

I am Alex, and I am planning my trip to Thailand. I want to visit Phuket, Bangkok and Phi Phi island. What places do you recommend to visit? What should I do? Where should I live?

I like to go hiking, explore new places, food, culture and to listen to music,

I might travel solo or with a friend. Is anyone who travels with a group or solo in the same period?

There are a lot of threads on here giving loads and loads of useful advice about Thailand. Have a look through the last month or two and you'll find quite a few of them.
I think the big Thai New Year celebration (Songkran) is the 13th to 16th of April, so you may just about catch it on your 1st day (be prepared to have cold water thrown at you, so valuables in a sealed plastic bag in your pocket). Phuket is generally the most expensive place in Thailand (although some stuff can be cheaper than Bangkok, but not much) and the Taxi from the airport is always expensive (by Thailand standards) as there seems to be a cartel amongst the drivers, so this would be useful ; https://phuketsmartbus.com/
Where to stay, well that depends on what you're looking for really. In Bangkok most backpackers stay around Khao San Road for the backpacker party scene, although the downside is that it can be a pain to get to as it isn't on the BTS/Trainline. So if you aren't interested in the partying then just look for somewhere on the trainline (which is easily the best way to get around Bangkok), together with river buses.
I'm not sure about Phuket, but if you want a quieter beach time then Kamala is rather nice.

There are lots of travellers in Thailand (probably more than any other country) and many of them are solo, because it's such an easy place to travel around.

PS put some basic detail in your profile which helps respond to your questions.
If you're from Malaysia then there's stuff you may know which you wouldn't from say Canada.
