I now see that all articles in the guide are not complete.

It just ends at a specific part of the template. Also even editing the article means you don't see the last parts of that article like keeping connected etc. Seems it's gone.....

I don't think I want to risk writing a blog entry until things settle down

I've fixed the guide article issue. It specifically affected saving long slabs of text. Everything still seemed to have saved ok in those instances, but when reading them back they were cut off.

Ok, I think I've fixed the issue with logging in to the blogs not working. Somewhere in the middle of the night last night while trying to get the blogs available for reading at least, I commented out that logic to make it work. I just put that back in place. You may need to log out of Travellerspoint entirely and back in again to make it work. I cleared my Travellerspoint cookies and after that it all works as expected again..

That leaves two issues I'm unsure about -
1. Is the error when visiting you're visiting your control panel, Sarah. I can't reproduce. Does it happen every time you go to that page?
2. Bennytheball's issue with the hyperlink transfer to Tripadvisor?! I don't even know what that means? Are you trying to insert a Travellerspoint photo in a post on there? I can only guess how their system works, but maybe you need to include the URL of the actual image (not the page that shows the image). In your example that would be https://photos.travellerspoint.com/880768/large_Algeciras_fast_ferry_2.jpg

Yes - I have my control panel bookmarked and when I click on that I get the error message. I'm about to go out but when I get home I'll try clearing cookies as that may solve it I guess

I re-entered the URL that I had bookmarked for this site (and deleted the other one), so when I get logged out I just go to that new bookmark and I am logged in again.

Last night (EDT) when I went to read a part of the blog to see how it looked, I was automatically logged out, so I would open that in a separate window so I could get back to the page where I could edit.

In case Peter is going to sleep now (good night Melbourne...:)), als here: the guide thing is not solved. Many articles still cut off at the bottom, not showing the last 1/3 or so of the article.

Just made edits to some countries and when saving, then it does show everything again.

I think it is still not ok and many many articles won't show properly. Since there are thousands of them, it's hardly doable by hand so hopefully things will get de-bugged..;)

Yes, clearing cookies seems to have fixed both my issues - sorry, I should have thought of doing so myself before posting!

I eventually managed to solve my problem, I logged out and back in again, then went through my photos until I found the ID number of the one I was trying to transfer to Tripadvisor by https:// link, then I edited ( cancelled) the stored photo and resurrected a new photo from my computer photo files and uploaded it to Travellerspoint under a new ID number which was successful, then used the new number to transfer the photo to Tripadvisor, after deleting the original photo...

Me too also, I had intended to write up some blogs with lots of new pictures of Morocco after my annual revisit, but will wait until there is some semblance of normality on the website.

How frustrating it would be to put so much time and energy into writing only to have it disappear somewhere into cyberspace with no prospect of recovery?
