Who is able to interfere and delete spam in the groups? I am posting this here in order to attract the right moderator's attention. There is no report spam button in the travel groups, as spammers have figured out all too well, so spam stays in there for good.

The Former TravBuddy Members group is particularly affected, about all additions of the last couple of months are promotional posts with no relation to TB, in other words, spam.

The Europe Meetup group also has a few. I have not checked the other groups.

I think just the person who set up the group can delete posts - apart from Admins presumably.

I checked and I don't have rights to delete posts so I think Peter will have to do this. It might be a useful thing for moderators to be able to do so perhaps these rights could be granted to us if Peter thinks there is a need.

Yes, it is a bit lacking. The idea was that whoever started the group is also responsible for removing spam.

It clearly doesn't always work. Though in a lot of these cases, the spam was posted by people whose account is now inactivated. So I think the best solution is probably to fix up my inactivation procedure so it also deletes all group messages by that person when they are inactivated.

Then, the way to deal with spam in there would be to report the member.

I've gone ahead and cleared up the spam that I could find.
