Hello Alice - as somebody who comes from France it is surprising that you are not aware of the towns, cities and history of Spain but the Community Travel pages here on Travellerspoint have all the information you need. Once you've done some research there you should be able to come up with more specific questions about travel in Spain.

As for a travel agent, we discourage the promotion of commercial outfits on Travellerspoint and links to sites would be against the forum rules. Members may PM you with suggestions for agencies but most people here would recommend independent travel.

As Borisborough says, Read https://www.travellerspoint.com/guide/Spain/
Come back when you have an idea of where you want to go and what you want to see/do.

And using a travel agent is unnecessary unless you hate researching your travels and like paying others to do it for you.

Usually every holiday excursion has a beginning and end. You decide when you can travel and for how long. You work up the budget so you know how much you have available for hotel, food, transportation and entertainment, etc.

Not everyone has the good fortune to live so close to the country you want to visit. You have more travel options available than someone like me who would have some long flights to pay for.

My travel to Spain was a long time ago. I spent a lot of "work related" time in Barcelona and Rota areas. I have been to Palma de Mallorca, Madrid and a few other side trips doing tourist "gawk and walk" stuff.

Do some research on what interests you most. It could be history, nightlife, shopping, beaches, etc. Check out Benidorm and see if there is any interest there.

You can book your own flights, trains or even bus rides yourself. With the internet so common now booking a place to stay is easy. But only you know how much per night you want to spend on a room each night or if you will be traveling solo or not.

The time of year you choose to visit Spain may be a factor in where you choose to go. (Weather, particular holidays or festivals, best time for beach visit, etc.)

Make Google your friend! Even an old fashioned printed travel guides can be helpful too.

Keep mind that some really stupid tourists manage to do okay in Spain. If you have half a brain you can figure things out all by yourself!

Your choice!

I would definitely to organise trip by yourself, since you know best what you want, just ask some friends or here in forum what would be the best places to visit and that's it. Also you will save some money and it's really exciting to plan the trip!!

There is plenty of exploring in Spain. You need to decide between the mainland and the Islands. Balearic Island has typical Mediterranean weather, and Canary Island is close to Africa with plenty of sunshine and beautiful volcanic landscape. The Mainland is Andalusian, Barcelona and Madrid. Pick your place and embark on a fascinating journey.

Barcelona is a must of course, but it's a special part of Spain, ie Catalonia. I have enjoyed Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba in Andalucia where the influence of Arabs is evident and the food is delicious. The costas are also super nice but very crowded in the summer.
