Change fonts? Explanation of settings? Search forum?

Travel Forums System Talk Change fonts? Explanation of settings? Search forum?

I'm not seeing a way to change font size, which seems kind of small by default. Is there just standard font size or heading or can you change font size?

Is there a list of what all the settings mean? Specifically these...
Maximum entries per page
Show photos in navigation
Show travel map on every page

There must be a way to search the forum for these answers, but I can't find any search button?

Thanks!

Travellerspoint doesn't have any feature to change the standard font size of the site (which varies between 13 and 15 px, which used to be fairly standard to large sizes, but tend to be on the small side these days given the ever increasing resolutions of screens). Your browser should allow you to zoom in (ctrl +), and should remember that zoom setting for the site on future visits. If you use Firefox, it even has the ability to do "text zoom only", which tends to give even better results.

For the blogs, if you have started one, you as the owner of a blog can change the font size (which on the blogs tend to be really tiny by default, since most of those designs are now approaching 15 years of age). You can do so by changing the CSS of your chosen template. We're very happy to provide help with this - just let us know if that's the case, and which template you'd like to use. (here's example instructions, though the exact change you need to make depends on the template)

If there's help for it, it can probably be found here, but scanning those headlines, I don't immediately spot it, so there's a good chance most of those entries were thought to be self-explanatory when they were added. I'll try to clear these up for you:

Maximum entries per page: You write "entries" ("blog posts") on your blog, which appear on your domain (example.travellerspoint.com) with the most recent one at the top by default. You don't want that page to be endlessly long, so only the number of entries chosen here will be shown initially, with further entries showing on page 2, page 3, etc. If you tend to write short blog entries, you can increase this number. If you tend to write long blog entries, you might want to reduce it. Some people like to set it to 1, so that each entry uses an entire page even when not viewed standalone.

Show photos in navigation: Travellerspoint has many features; next to the blogs, there's also a photo gallery. Your blog has a sidebar (on the left of the right of the main blog entries, depending on the template you've chosen), which can highlight the most recent photos from your photo gallery. This setting allows you to choose how many photos are shown.

Show travel map on every page: The travel map is another feature. I see you've already used it to create a trip. When writing blog entries, you can choose to insert a view on your travel map into the blog entry (zoomed in to the section that you're talking about), but many people also like to show their entire map, with all their trips (or only their current trip, or even only the trip that that particular blog is about), permanently in the sidebar (or the header) of their blog, regardless of which particular page or entry in their blog is being read.

The search field is hidden in the menu sidebar, accessed by clicking on the "menu" icon in the top left. :)
