Summer- August 2019

Love the idea of travelling, however thought of going solo puts me off! (Much prefer experiences shared with other people.)

I’m 23, female, teacher from the UK. I love all things sporty and am very social by nature. Have a good sense of humour -if you catch me on the right day lol :) ! Just want to get out there and explore.

Go to the travel section at Waterstones (or another bookshop!) and buy either 'Rough Guide' or 'Lonely Planet' guide book for Australia.
Once you've had a decent look at it travelling in a country with similar attitudes and the same language will seem pretty easy. In the 1st hostel you stay in there will be loads of people that have done or are doing exactly the same thing. The biggest problem is remembering that you haven't known these people for long and you really can't trust them like you would a best friend (so don't get completely legless, no money lending and keep your passport safe!), but they will be friends pretty quickly.

And have a read of this; https://www.travellerspoint.com/guide/Australia/

If you fancy something difficult then try travelling somewhere that has a completely different culture and language.
