It's not that difficult. Click on my name, this is a link that takes you to my profile page. It has a photo and some statistics, and below you see the list of my blogs on this site.

The one entitled "Day Trips Around Karlsruhe" contains some entries about the Black Forest and other places in the southwest of Germany.

Then there is one, "Touring Germany and Surroundings", which is a (still very incomplete) collection of trips and places in Germany and neighbouring countries.

Ah yes, and there is also one about Australia...

Munich is a great place but whilst Oktoberfest is fascinating, it's really all about tourists.
It's really difficult to find hotels etc as the normal population of around 1.5m has to accommodate and additional 7m+ people over the 2 weeks.
Worth visiting to see the sheer size of the event and to watch the drunken tourists who thought their domestic weak beer (USA cough... ) is preparation for litres of expensive real beer... ;)

However there are plenty of 'VolksFests' elsewhere in Germany which are smaller, more traditional and much more wallet friendly.
Like this one just outside Munich which is shortly before Oktoberfest ; https://www.volksfest-freising.de/
