I`m starting to plan an around the world trek. I have already received some great advice. I`m hoping to meet people that are looking to group up to do this. ALL advice, suggestions, and opinions will be greatly welcomed. Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Bret

Welcome to the forum. :)

How much have you travelled before? It may be that you already have some expertise and a RTW trip is going to be largely the same as what you've done before.

My number 1 tip would be to travel light. You see guys weighted down with 90 litre packs and they look miserable. Virtually anything you need you can buy out there on the road, often cheaper than at home. I usually travel with just a carry-on bag now, and this is a lot more comfortable, especially on days when I'm moving on and have everything on my back. I do laundry more often because of it, but it's no bad thing to have a quiet mundane activity to tend to as a break from relentless travelling.

What sort of trip do you have planned? ie What countries are you planning to visit, and is your travel style going to be backpacker using hostels and doing it all independently, or something more high-budget?

As AndyF says, I think we need a bit more info from you before we can give much advice/info.
'Trek' suggests walking or walking and public transport.
Assuming you're USA based, are you just going east to west (or west to east) or also going north to south?
Timescale?

I will most likely be leaving out of Seattle Wa. To start off I was going to Spain to take a TEFL course on teaching English ( open to recommendations.) After that was finished I planned on doing the " Camino de Santiago." Taking the course in Spain is not set in stone, It has also been suggested Vietnam or Thailand. Any recommendations on that topic will be greatly appreciated. I am not on any time restraints I will be on a budget, not sure what that will I would like to start by July 2020. I plan on packing light.

My goals would be to teach English to children in as many sovereign countries as I possibly could, continuously. Travel by any means available to me whether it be a car, motorcycle, walking, public transportation. I would like to document my travels by blogging, video, pictures, etc, etc ...Would like to get suggestions from followers to meet up with trustworthy people in each country that would be able to point me in the right directions. I would definitely be open to traveling with like-minded people.

I really don't understand why you sent me this info in a message when it's intended to gain you information from everyone here. so I'll post it here.

Do you wish to teach online only, or as a teacher in a classroom physically? Both methods are possible and teaching remotely has it's advantages if you wish to stay on the move.

Hello-

I would like the classroom at first, for the experience. after that, I would definitely be open depending on the situation.
