Planning to go to these countries. we are both Seniors. Need iterinary help for 45 days

As a suggestion, nip down to you local travel agent and pick up a travel brochure for South America, something like Intripid. That should have all these three countries listed with 7, 10, 14 or 20 day itineraries for each one. Have a look at the places they visit and try to work out your own itinerary based on the ones offered. You can mix and match, ignore some of the places they go which don't interest you and you'll get a good idea of what is and isn't possible in your timeframe. Once you've done that, you could then ask members here for their recommendations to tweak your list.

Personally, in Peru, the Inca Trail to Macchu Pichu, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, the Nazca Lines and Lima should all be considered. Ecuador - Quito and the Galapagos are definites. I've not been to Argentina yet. I assume being 70+ doesn't exclude you from a few hikes?
