Maybe it can be easily tuned in settings but I couldn't find how

When clicking on the calendar button in the new stop adding — why it shows today by default?
I believe it would be more convenient if the calendar opens at the date of the previous stop, no?

Thank you
Sam

UP

The behaviour of the calendar is still the same.
It's not a game changer and priority feature, but if it's easier to change - would be great :)

Thank you
Sam

If you set a departure date to your previous stop, then the arrival date of the new stop is prefilled to be the same, and if you then click on the departure date, it'll default to that arrival date (so editing it to be a couple of days onward should be easy), and so on. This pattern only breaks when you omit the departure date.

It's still a good improvement suggestion to have the arrival date on a new stop default (not prefilled) to the previous arrival date when no departure date has been filled in, but hopefully the above will improve your workflow when creating trips.

Yes, this works, no issues at all. The question is only for departure date which is today by default
Thank you for your input anyway :)

When an arrival date is set, then departure date should default to that date, not to "today" (that is, departure date is empty, but when you click it, the calendar control should have the same date selected as is in the arrival date field).

If that is not what you see, then that sounds like a bug: Which browser do you use?

Chrome, Brave - the same
Should I try with Edge? I thought they are all on the same webkit now :)

Ah, bother, I see why this happens! I tested with future dates, and then it works as I described. But when you have an arrival date in the past, it indeed defaults to today for the departure date.

So, not browser-specific at all. I suspect this is a bug which got introduced when the new planner interface was added to plan upcoming trips, and that it then overlooked the usecase of logging completed trips.

Thanks for bringing up the problem! Hopefully when Peter (the admin) sees this, he can fix this pretty swiftly. (No promise: Could still be quite a while, as he has many, many things to do.)

I understand completely, no issues. If it could be done - let's hope for it :)

I've added this request in my tracker and will try to get it out along with a bunch of other mapping changes that are in the works. In itself it's not too complicated to fix probably, but I'd like to get the other stuff sorted first.
