Well, even if it's arbitrary, what would your best road trips be? Here are some of my favourites in no particular order:
1. Scotland - starting at the bottom of Bealach na Ba, crossing the pass and surrounding Applecross Peninsula
2. France - the road along the Gorges du Verdon
3. Ireland - stretches of the Wild Atlantic Way
4. Ireland - Gap of Dunloe (in the evening, when the light is perfect and all the carriages are gone)
5. several mountain passes in the Alps

I agree - Italy ranked at the top is insane! I love the country, it's my favourite in Europe, but it's not great for driving. To go any distance you have to use the autoroutes, which are no fun to drive, and scenic rural driving is incredibly slow, and the roads so winding (and other drivers so impatient) that there's no chance for the driver to admire the scenery.
My own favourite road trips have been in the western part of the US - Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington. Parts of Canada are wonderful too and I'm surprised it's not higher. Or maybe not surprised, as the list is clearly nonsense!

This is the Route 66 most famous road trip. Here you can go more than two thousand miles, this is a real road trip to the United States

Yes, I want to do Yukon to Alaska some day soon. Have you been? Any tips or general observations?

Yes, we did it 3 times. Every time with an Truck-Camper. Twice in September and once in May.
Every time we have seen a lot of bears, Grizzley in September and Black Bears in May.

Yes, Highway 1 is a must-drive for anyone visiting the California coast. Mountains on one side and ocean on the other, nothing but nature and asphalt.

I see Panama did rather well! That well-known road-trip destination.

My favorite road trips in the US are on the east coast. I love Skyline Drive starting in Virginia. This links to The Blue Ridge Parkway that heads down to the Great Smokies. And continue on through the mountains of eastern Tennessee. We did this with a very small camper when I was child. My parents and my sister and I trapped in a tiny metal can. But I fell in love with the natural beautiy and eventually took my daughters on similar trips when I was married.
Also I love driving up through the New England states on the east coast. We did a ten day trip with my in laws about six years ago. We drove through all the small villages and back roads from Maryland to Maine. It was one of my favorite vacations and sadly the last with Mark's family. His father passed not long after the trip and his mother is now in assisted living with dementia. We are so glad we were able to take the trip and enjoy it with them before it was too late.
Now on to that Panama road trip mentioned above....lol lol
